I'm an enthusiast about all types of travel! I love a good budget backpacking excursion, girls weekend getaways, beach vacations, city explorations, and all adventures in between. I'm a novice hiker, an amateur social media-er, and a girl who loves a good deal!
When people ask me where my next trip is going to be, I typically don't know because I love to let flight prices decide that for me!
I travel with pals, partners, family members and by myself. Traveling is a large part of who I am, and what has shaped me most.
One thing I always wish I did better was document my travels. I'm so frustrated when a pal asks me for a recommendation somewhere I have been, but I can't remember the restaurant, hotel, etc. The focus of this blog will hopefully be two-fold: I'm hopeful to inspire others to travel more (and will hopefully make that plunge a little easier for them!), but I also want an excuse to document the details of my adventures.
My Story
I have been traveling the world for about 20 years... Oh my goodness; when did I become old enough to say that?! My travels are typically determined by cheap flights I am able to find that fit into my work schedule. I have worked in public education for 19 years, and this has blessed me with opportunities for longer backpacking adventures during summer break, and shorter adventures during winter and spring break. Five years ago, I became an administrator, even though I swore I never would because I didn't want to give up my summers off. Well, here we are. I now work the standard hours of most middle class folks, but my passion for exploration has remained a constant. That all said, now finding deals, cheap travel and maximizing weekends away has become more important than ever!
