I know... sober and Sin City aren't always synonymous with one another! But maybe you're looking for a weekend on a budget, maybe you don't drink, you're pregnant, or you just don't feel like having a hangover! Whatever your reason, you can still have a blast with these sober Vegas activities!
The Fremont Street Experience: Head down to the old end of the Las Vegas Strip. The people watching, and the free entertainment is fantastic. You can zip line over the tourists, watch bands at the multiple stages that are always set up, and enjoy a wide array of street performers!
The Mob Museum: Just two blocks down from the Fremont Street Experince, you'll find The Mob Museum in a stunning former Federal Courthouse. The Mob Museum gives rich history on mob ties to the very foundation of Las Vegas. You'll get to sit in a courthouse watching footage from actual job court cases. Below the museum is an Underground Speakeasy with live music and amazing food. Book your time and ticket in advance, because the line can get long!
The Neon Museum Las Vegas: About a half mile from the Mob Museum, you'll find The Neon Museum. It's a boneyard of old casino neon lights. They make the experience interactive with a QR code when you walk in that will give you audio history of many of the famous signs. The most popular time for this museum is the evening, but we went before dusk and thought it was perfect!
You'll need to purchase tickets in advance, because they do sell out!
Walk the Vegas Strip: If you've never been to Las Vegas, you can be completely entertained by walking up and down Las Vegas Blvd and going into each elaborate casino. There is so much to appreciate from their design, to the stores inside of them, to various art installations throughout them! Some of my favorite hotels to walk through are the Venetian (you can even take a gondola ride!), Cosmopolitan and Caesars.
Arizona Hot Springs: This was an adventure my girlfriends and I decided to do on a whim, and it was spectacular. If you're renting a car for the day, and you're seeking a fun adventure, head to this trail! The trailhead is about a half hour drive East from the Vegas Strip. The trail is just under 6 miles round trip, and at the halfway point, you are rewarded with several pools of natural hot springs. Even in the hot weather, a soak in the springs feel incredible. Absolutely bring a lot of water!
Red Rock Canyon: If you drove to Vegas, or want to rent a car and get off the strip for the day, Red Rock Canyon is a perfect destination, being only a half hour West of the Las Vegas strip. If you're not into hiking, you can easily drive through the canyon and appreciate the stunning views at the frequent stops and view points. If you're into hiking, there's several trails enveloped in the striking red rock to choose from!
Meow Wolf Las Vegas: I don't even know how to describe Meow Wolf. I can tell you that I went 100% sober, but I can see it being a blast either way. You go through room after room of fantasy and dreams. Every space is visually stimulating and captivating. You can walk through aimlessly or utilize your cell phone to find hidden QR codes to complete a mission. Go here if you are looking to play, release your inner child and let your imagination run wild!
Once again, you do need tickets for your date and time!
Go to a Show: There is no drought of entertainment in Las Vegas! From concerts, to magic, to the ever famous Cirque Du Soleil... there is something for everyone! And you can definitely find cheaper day of tickets. There are ticket boxes on the strip if you're looking for day of deals. Look for Tix4Vegas (Tic4Tonight) booths that are scattered throughout Las Vegas. If you're not picky about your show, and just wanting to be entertained, it's a great way to go for cheaper seats!
